We're tempted to try another night - here's our proposition
Dear Members,
We have been considering feedback from club members the last year on how we can improve the concept of bringing together Melbourne transsexuals and their male admirers to party.
Traffic to the clubs website and enquiries from prospective members has been increasing substantially and we're tempted to hold another Trans Tuesday event @ Platform One but we want to ensure that our transsexual members have sufficient incentive to attend the night.
Our understanding is that our working transsexual members are more comfortable working as independent escorts via websites and meeting up with clients directly and due to the large demand for their intimate services in Melbourne they had no real need to attend our night despite being given free tickets. As a reminder - our members are independent escorts and the club is not in the business of prostitution. Our business is bringing our members together to party.
Perry and I have been considering for the past year now on how we can turn this concept into a successful night ensuring that both our transsexual members and our male members are happy and incentivised to attend our parties. The problem we have is that we have more male members than transsexual members and our male members are more than happy to attend a night and to pay for a ticket whilst our transsexual members can earn more by simply meeting up with one of their regular clients directly and not attend our night. It made more business sense for our trans members to not attend the night if that makes sense.
Given the reality of the market here's our proposition for the next night:
1. Our transsexual members will be paid an appearence fee of $50 to attend the night.
2. Our male members will be charged $100 a ticket to attend the night with $50 of the ticket price going directly to our transsexual members as an incentive for them to attend.
Paying our trans members to attend would ensure a more favourable ratio of trans to male members on the night.
The main goal of the night remain the same:
1. For the clubs male members to meet and get to know our transsexual members and if the feelings right arrange an intimate liaison with them. Remember that just a few doors down is Subway Sauna that has private rooms that can be booked.
2. For the clubs transsexual members to meet new male clients in a safe, welcoming environment.
If we give our transsexual members the opportunity to earn an appearence fee on the night we think this might be the key to getting the event off the ground. We would then hold more regular events if the nights a success.
So please ourvalued members - let us know your thoughts.
Our transsexual members - will you attend a party if you're paid to attend?
Our male members - are you happy with paying $100 a ticket knowing that $50 of that goes directly to our transsexual members to incentivise them to attend?

The Purple Paradise Club's Classifieds System has been shut down
Dear Members,
It is with great sadness that I regretfully announce that I have shut down our club's classified advertising system.
I was forced to make this decision for the club due to our original business idea of bringing working transsexuals together with their male admirers to party at our member nightclub not working out in the way we hoped it might. We had plenty of paying male customers but we could not attract enough transsexuals. Unfortunately we have not been able to build a viable business out of our concept idea and the classifieds section of our website is therefore not viable from a business stand point and is costing us money and time with negative returns at high risk to the club and to myself personally.
The club was willing to continue running the classifieds section despite of all this as it's the most popular section on the clubs website but we have unfortunately ran into problems with the Australian Government. A seniour compliance officer from The Justice Department of the Victorian State Government contacted us on Friday to advise us that a number of our transsexual advertisers are in breach of the Sex Work Act 1994 (the Act) and the Sex Work Regulations 2006 (the Regulations).
Unfortunately the club cannot afford any situation that brings us into contact with the legal system and the risk of maintaining the free classifieds greatly outweighs any returns we have made in the business of bringing working transsexuals together with their male admirers to party. Personally i'm willing to fight for my beliefs and to go to jail for them but this didn't seem a fight that was worth it given the failure of our concept. In life one must know when to hold em and when to fold em and especially what battles to pick.
Our understanding is the shut down of Backpage resulted in many transsexuals losing their only viable income stream and it has caused many problems in these peoples lives some of whom are our own members which greatly saddens us. We expect that the shut down of our own classifieds section will result in disruption to our member transsexuals income streams and once again they will be forced to move over to yet another classifieds site in order to survive due to regulations we believe are outdated and greatly unjust.
As a law abiding organisation we have always set out to comply with the local acts and regulations even given we believe they're outdated and greatly unjust and we will do so in this case.
I made my personal views of what needs to be done in Melbourne to fix the situation in the video at the link below which I made a while ago.
Essentially what I would like to see in Victoria to improve things is:
1. A bar, pub or nightclub may sell alcohol and sex on the premises is permitted.
2. A bar, pub or nightclub may employ prostitutes as either full time workers or as contractors for the purposes of providing sex on the premises.
3. Prostitution to be recognised as a skilled occupation and accorded all the rights and responsibilities of a skilled occupation.
4. Due to the increased power of western women, the rise in institutionalised feminism and corresponding low supply of suitable sex partners for Australian men - a prostitution VISA to be introduced which enables sex workers from South East Asia - in particular Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam to legally work in Victoria as sex workers.
5. A bar, pub or nightclub may employ Asian prostitutes who are in Australia on a skilled prostitution VISA for the purposes of providing sex on the premises.
6. Prostitution may operate legally in commercial areas of the city wherever alcohol is sold.

Whilst governments may have won this fight they have already lost the war when it comes to local compliance of unjust laws long term even if they don't recognise this important fact yet. Our understanding is that a worldwide blockchain based adult classifieds system that uses cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is currently under development that works in a decentralized manner and cannot be shut down by any government due to what happened with Backpage.
Sun Tzu: “Every battle is won before it's ever fought.”
The problem with centralised systems is the government can simply raid the companys office, arrest it's CEO and shut down the system. It would only be a matter of time before that happened to us and really - who wants to deal with that shit?
Governments can't shut down decentralised systems as there is no office to raid, no CEO to arrest and nothing to shut down in a central location. That's why decentralised systems are the future of technology whether governments like that situation or not and technologists like myself are actively working in this area to make sure decentralization, privacy and freedom is the default for the world and it's people.
We are watching this space very closely and are interested to see how this goes and how regulators and law makers respond globally. We will keep our valued members up to date with what happens in this space and will recommend a decentralised adult classifieds advertising system when it becomes available.
It is our hope that the western world can move on from a highly legislative rule based "you must not" type approach to sex work which if we look at the realities of human behaviour is not doing anyone any favours. I write this from Pattaya, Thailand where I am on holiday for the next month. It's amazing the freedom available to us western men and the acceptance available to the ladyboys in this city. It just feels so very, very different to Melbourne.
As CEO of the club I apologise to each of you our valued members for the disruption my decision will cause you.
Best Wishes and Kind Regards,
Jarod

Expectations for our opening night Trans Tuesday @ Platform One
Club Members,
Let’s talk about expectations for Trans Tuesday - our first members night @ Platform One on Tuesday October 3rd at 8:30 pm.
It’s only one week to go before the night. So far we have 10 transsexuals and 15 men confirmed as attending. The gathering will be intimate. Platform One will be cordoning off a section of the club especially for our needs and keeping the music to a level where we will still be able to talk and get to know each other without having to shout. The music will be a mix of dance and trance favorites to appeal to the diverse age range of members confirmed as attending. Security will be present on the door. If you have not yet paid for your ticket you will be able to pay in cash on the night.
A small, intimate gathering gives each member the opportunity to mingle and get to know one another.
Remember that this is the first get together of members. Future events will be possible and be limited only by your imaginations and what kind of events you want us to arrange for you our valued members!
The main goal of the night is for the clubs male members to meet and get to know a bit about each other, socialise with the clubs transsexual members and if the feelings right arrange an intimate liaison ;-)
As this is the first member meetup we hope it all goes really well and everyone has a great time!
We're always looking for ways to improve the clubs services as remember the club exists for your benefit as members so after the night if there is anything you have in mind for future events please do let us know.
We look forward to meeting you all on the night!
Kind Regards,
Jarod
